With this in mind, and knowing that there will be plenty of new content coming down the pipe soon after launch, there is a lot to be excited for with this new Battlefront title.ДЄll in all, the beta was a great start for what looks to be an enjoyable game. There will also be many more multiplayer modes such as Fighter Squadron, Supremacy, Cargo, and Hero Hunt just to name a few.

While the beta only included Vader and Luke as heroes for instance, the full game will have many more including Han Solo, Boba Fett, The Emperor, Princess Liea, and more. None of this considers the known additions already set for the launch of the game. It also gives the vehicles a sense of age, adding little sounds of wear and tear such as a squeak here and there. Sometimes with the movement and the size, the sounds help create the feeling of inadequacy. Each being slightly different to account for the weapon, but close enough to not seem too much like a normal gun of other games. Blasters have a strange but familiar sound that most fans will recognize. Similarly, the sounds of all the equipment seem as if they were ripped straight from the films. While a small detail, it is nice to know that it is included. For those not aware of the Wilhelm scream, you can view this quick clip of it in use within the films. More so than anything is the Wilhelm scream that can often be heard when Stormtroopers die. Many of the sounds are taken from the films and add the extra touch that makes the game truly feel like a Star Wars title. The developers did not stop there though with staying true to the films. Imperial forces rushing en masse to defeat the Rebel forces It requires the Rebel forces to fight much harder to win. However, given the sheer amount of weapons and vehicles given to the Imperial forces from the start, it is hard to imagine that this was not designed with this result in mind. If the unbalanced play was unintentional though, then there are more questions to be asked. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as it does ensure that players will win roughly half the time. It is possible that because the Empire is able to overrun the forces during this battle, that for the game, the upper hand is given to the Imperial forces. This might have something to do with the mode taking place on Hoth and reimagining the battle from Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. Whether or not designed to be unbalanced, the mode definitely favored the Imperial forces from the start. While the capture mode allowed for more or less balanced gameplay, the highlight of the beta was the вЂњWalker AssaultвЂќ mode. However, that steady balance was not always present within the beta. None of these cards seemed to have a large impact on the balance of the game either. While many more will probably be present in the final game, even the few in the beta could change the feel of the game depending on how the cards were used and paired. Other players could use the jetpack to reach a vantage point so to better utilize their long rang rifle. For instance, attackers could use shields to defend themselves as they attacked objectives. These simple cards though changed the way that the game was played by each player. These cards offered abilities such as grenades, long range rifles, jetpacks, and shields with a cooldown timer. The simple loadout of BattlefrontДЄnother aspect that added depth to the game was the ability to select perk-like cards to go with a loadout. This kept the overall base game balanced in a sense. It also helped that by default, the normal blasters were unlocked, and the only other weapons available seemed nothing more than variations from those blasters, trading more or less damage for less or more shots. The shooting aspect was simple as there was no ammo to worry about and consistent crosshairs for all weapons. Overall, the beta was enjoyable and easy to pick up, which is not a bad thing since Star Wars is a franchise enjoyed by all ages. But one thing is for sure, that a lot of people played the beta and experienced what the new game will offer when it ships in just about a month.

For others, they thought the game was a stripped down version of what could have been Star Wars Battlefront 3 had LucasArts been able to ship the finished product.
